GENERATION ADDERALL EDITORIAL SPREAD

Winter of 2018, in a project for my Publication Design class, I designed an 8 page spread for an article called "Generation Adderall", a piece about a young woman's struggle with her Adderall addiction.

As a writer, the author mentions that she felt incredibly productive while on the drug. I drew my inspiration, then, from Microsoft Word and tried to draw on elements from the program in my design.

THE PINK TAX EDITORIAL SPREAD

During Fall Quarter 2018, I worked on a project for my Graphic Design II class which prompted us to explore the idea of myth vs. reality. I chose to run with the commonly misconceived "myth" of The Pink Tax, aka the economic phenomenon of women paying more for products just because they're considered to be "for women".

I used an article and statistics I found create an attention grabbing spread to help educate the general public on the facts and figures of The Pink Tax, hopefully convincing a person or two that it's not simply a piece of modern folklore.

PEPSICO ANNUAL REPORT REDESIGN

Fall Quarter 2018 during my Typography II Class, we were tasked to design a shortened version of a pre-existing Annual Report. I redesigned PepsiCo's 2017 annual report to match more of their classic red, white, and blue Pepsi identity, seeing as their existing design was photo-heavy and focused on their product line. I wanted to do something drastically different and almost vintage.

We also had to come up with a version that would work as a webpage, much more interactive and easy for a user to understand and navigate through. I included mockups of both here.

"SANS" TYPECON IDENTITY DESIGN

Another project I worked on during my Typography II Class in Fall 2018 was an identity system for a Typography Conference that we titled ourselves. I was given the city Berlin as the setting for the conference, and came up with the name "sans" for the event. I chose "sans" because Berlin is an epicenter for the Swiss Design movement, which hails sans-serif typefaces such as Helvetica in graphic design.

Included in the deliverable for this project was an event program, lanyard ID tag, a canvas bag, a website homepage, and a poster, all displayed here.

"LIVING GREEN, THE FOOD EDITION" ZINE

This project is one of my favorites that I've ever completed. For my Publication Design class during Spring Quarter last year, our final project was to create and print a zine. I chose to do a "Living Green" concept and highlight Imperfect Produce, a California-based company which salvages produce that is too "ugly" to be sold by grocers and delivers it to customers at a reduced rate.

The short zine also includes statistics, a q&a section, and a few graphic pages catered to an audience looking to live more sustainably. I'd love to potentially work on a project like this more long term! Perhaps an edition or two more.
