EUROPE VACATION RECAP
Every time I take a trip with my friends or family, I make sure to take lots of videos as we go along to put together a little recap video when we get home. I find that setting them to a song that we listened to a lot over the course of the trip is a good tactic for helping the video serve as a digital memory book. In the winter of 2018, I visited two of my best friends at the end of their study abroad trips in Europe, and created this little ditty to commemorate it.
THE FULLERTONES GREEDY MUSIC VIDEO
One of the things that sets our group aside from the others is our online presence. As you can probably tell from the photos and ads I've shared in my portfolio, we're very active on social media sites such as Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter. We're also very active on YouTube! We share music videos such as this one about once a year (seeing as they take quite a lot of time and effort to get everyone together to film and record).
I was the editor on this project rather than the videographer. Credits to Ellen Dziubek, one of The Fullertones founders, for capturing the moments that brought this video together and Roy Curiale, another alumnae, for recording and building the audio file!
THE FULLERTONES CONCERT VIDEOS
Another key element of The Fullertones YouTube channel are our concert videos! After each quarterly concert, at which we perform usually 6 to 10 songs, we post videos with high quality audio for people who didn't get to attend the concert to watch! These videos are usually used as a marketing/engagement tool. We release a few at a time to keep our followers engaged with us over a longer period of time, and often use these posts to promote events and other group activities.
The footage for this concert was captured by multiple stationary cameras and edited together by me! Special thanks yet again to Roy Curiale for the audio, as well as Ella Lubienski, Ellen Dziubek, and Connor Hirsch for the camera help. You're all rockstars!
COLORADO VACATION RECAP
Videography is something that I've always enjoyed, not just done out of necessity. When I take trips with friends and family I often stockpile video over the course of the vacation and make little videos like this one once I get home so that we can all relive the adventures whenever we'd like to. This video is made of compiled footage we all took on our phones (hence the poor video quality) when my best friends and I were in Colorado over Spring Break 2018.
MOVING TYPE
On top of videography, I have an interest in motion graphics. This piece was part of an assignment for a Fall Quarter 2018 course I took in Motion Graphics. We had to use the script of a stand up comedy bit to make an animation using text and minimal graphic elements to portray the jokes that in the audio. I'm personally a huge fan of Leslie Jones, so I chose to use a piece by her in my project and I'm really happy with how it turned out.
